Privacy Policy
This page covers two separate situations: what happens when you visit this website, and where data lives when you run BusinessChord in your organisation.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. Who we are
This site and the BusinessChord software are provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“BusinessChord”, “we”), registered at [ADDRESS], trade registry number [REGISTRY NO]. We act as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698) and, where applicable, the GDPR. Contact: info@businesschord.com
2. What this website does
This site is deliberately minimal:
- No cookies. Nothing is written to your browser.
- No analytics or tracking. No Google Analytics, pixels, heatmaps or third-party trackers.
- No external resources. Fonts, icons and scripts are not fetched from third parties; the page works on its own.
- The demo form sends nothing to a server. Submitting it opens a pre-filled message in your own email client. You decide whether to send it.
As with any web server, our hosting provider may keep technical access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page). Those logs fall under the hosting provider's own policy and are not used by us for marketing.
3. When you email us
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, company, email, phone | Replying to you, arranging a demo | Pre-contractual steps / legitimate interest |
| Message content | Understanding your requirement | Pre-contractual steps |
We keep this only as long as the conversation requires. If it does not lead anywhere, we delete it within 12 months. You may ask for earlier deletion at any time.
4. Where your data lives when you use the product
This is the most important privacy characteristic of the product, and it depends on deployment:
- On your own servers (on-premise): employee records, process files, documents and all operational data stay in your infrastructure and your database. We have no access to it and none of it reaches us. In this model you are the data controller.
- Cloud: data is hosted on infrastructure we operate. Here we act as data processor on your behalf and process data only to provide the service. Details and the technical and organisational measures are set out in the data processing terms attached to your agreement.
The software contains no telemetry component that reports your usage back to us.
5. International transfers
The infrastructure hosting this website may be located outside Türkiye; this concerns only the technical access logs described in section 2. In on-premise deployments, operational data never leaves your environment. For cloud deployments the hosting region is agreed contractually.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask whether we process your personal data, to request access to it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure where the conditions are met, and to have such actions communicated to any third parties the data was transferred to.
Send requests to info@businesschord.com. We respond within 30 days.
Note: in on-premise deployments you are the controller for your own employees' data. Their requests should be addressed to you; we will provide technical assistance on request.
7. Changes
If we update this policy we change the “last updated” date on this page. For material changes we also notify existing customers directly.
